How we work

We have a five stage working process which we’ll discuss with you in detail at the start of each project, so you know what to expect and how we’ll deliver. We aim to stick to this process as much as possible as experience has shown it to be an efficient, transparent process for all concerned, but we are flexible and will discuss your individual needs with you.

As a guide, our five-stage process incorporates:

• Research and Planning

  Through subject research and project planning we create a functional specification. This forms the basis for the information architecture, and lays the best possible grounding for commencing the conceptual design stage.

• Concept design

  We use information gathered in the planning and research stage to shape the creative process. The resulting visual concept is presented for a final decision forming the design route

• Design development

  Once a design route is chosen, we will refine the visual style including art direction, font selection, colour palette and project-specific elements such as GUI or animation.

• Design implementation

  When initial designs have been signed off, we’ll implement the design style across all the project elements and media, making sure they are ready to be passed on to the development team.

• Development

  This is where we make it happen, implementing the design as a finished product, whether it's a website, advertising campaign, printed media or a render of motion graphics. If the project requires functional or technical testing we undertake that as part of the development stage.
