The official of Facebook has introduced this feature in Europe without informing its users and acquiring necessary consent. But unlike the moments feature in the app which is being used in the US which have a facial recognition will not feature in the European app because of tighter privacy laws in Europe. According to officials; this facial recognition software of Facebook broke the rules of biometric data, therefore, it cannot be enabled. This was the biggest problem faced by the Facebook officials, but they fix it in a way that in the European version of this app demand user to identify the face themselves before searching for photos which appear to show the same face and it also meets the laws.
