The DJoust competition is an annual DJ competition that sees the next generation of talented DJs from across Europe battle it out through a series of live heats. The winner of each DJoust receives a sought after residency, a relevant prize and heaps of exposure.
Brief
Develop the DJoust brand for the 2008 competition and generate promotional material for the event.
Approach
Increase the impact of the DJoust brand by giving it a stronger visual treatment.
Solution
A more diverse array of music-related elements and a more kaleidoscopic, layered style, better convey the energy and excitement that the Djoust brand represents.

By introducing an electric colour mix and fusing abstract shapes with rich imagery, the overall effect is galactic and surreal – and depicts DJoust as a cutting edge, energetic event.

This new vision was implemented through posters, flyers & email marketing. Posters were printed on matt paper stock, giving a truly urban grunge feel, whilst online the new brand style was shown in its full glory, with particularly vibrant, rich and eye-catching screen colours.
